Bashgallery project is a small bash application I began to write to maintain a simple yet efficient online image gallery.Requirements:· The imagemagick suite (it needs convert)· To have your images all under the same directory (ie ~/images)· To have your images separated is sub directories (ie ~/images/Trip_2006)· To have your images already resizedUnder your main images directory, each subdirectory corresponds to an album. You cannot go further than one level of subdirectories (no albums within albums).1) Extract the gallerytemplates.tar.bz2 file (first time only) in your ~2) mkdir ~/Images3) cd ~/Images4) mkdir Album1 Album25) Copy images in your albums6) Run bashgallery7) Copy the content of the images directory to your webhost.CUSTOMIZING:bashgallery is not really designed to be customized at the moment. You can modify the provided styles.css file, or the templates, under ~/.gallerytemplates. For more customization, you will have to edit the bashgallery script.INSTALL:extract the provided gallerytemplates.tar.bz2 file to your ~ directory, and copy the bashgallery script to a location within your pathWhat's New in This Release:· Changes include the ability to use a default set of templates from /usr/share/bashgallery, and an install script.· Technically, bashgallery can now be packaged without having to modify the script.
