Using such a description one can generate various source code optimized for certain tasks. Like a lightweight data reading layer, fast querying code or code suitable for data generation/transformation.With Data2l you can easily describe almost any binary data format using primitive description blocks like basic type, array, structure or alternative and using functional dependency description language.Why is it free?We have used intensively Data2l for quick understanding of data files and embedded databases as well as for definition of new complex and optimized data structures mainly in car navigation projects.It's highly specialized tool and we are interested if it might serve also in other areas which we are not aware of.
