PulseAudio Spectrum Analyzer Impulse - PulseAudio Spectrum Analyzer is a bit of eye-candy for your desktop. It is a widget that displays a graphical spectrum analyzer on your gnome desktop. It is written in python and uses GTK and cairo graphics to generate the animation.The cimpulse module creates a pulse audio connection context that reads the output stream from pulseaudio in a thread natively which can then be read from python. You can specify cimpulse to either output the raw stream or output the fft of the raw stream.About Screenlets:Screenlets is the name of both a set of independently-developed widget applications and the widget engine which runs them. The engine runs primarily on X11-based compositing window managers, most notably the Compiz (under Linux) architecture.Until 0.0.14, screenlets were exclusively scripted in Python and drawn in SVG.
