A PIX-like CLI for Open Source Firewalls OpenPIX is an open source PIX commad-line interface/shell that aims to offer as similar as possible a look, feel, command structure and usage as Cisco's PIX OS.It is created for those of you who enjoy, are used to, or are nostalgic for the OS that powered Cisco's former line of PIX firewalls!The idea behind OpenPIX is to provide 3 layers of functionality:1) A command-line interface/shell,2) A pluggable systems abstraction layer, and3) Pluggable backends with support for open source firewall/packet filter solutions such as pf+pfctl, netfilter+iptables, ipf, ipfw, etc.Usage: $ ./bin/pfShell Requirements: · Python · zope.interface · zope.component · Pyparsing What's New in This Release: · Updated DEPENDENCIES to include zope.interface and zope.component. · Updated shell script to use a relative path. · Removed useless Twisted imports in util. · Renamed system.call.bsd to system.call.openbsd. · Created system.call.common.System and added getInterface method. · Set system.call.*.System to be subclasses of system.call.common.System. · Changed the Interface command to call getInterface on the parser's shell's · system.
