catfish is a handy file search tool using different backends which is configurable via the command line. catfish is a handy file search tool using different backends which is configurable via the command line. This program acts as a frontend for different file search engines. The interface is intentionally lightweight and simple. But it takes configuration options from the command line. Currently find, (s)locate, tracker and beagle are supported as backends.Requirements:· GTK+ version 2.4.x· PyGtk2· Glade2· python-xdg (optional)What's New in This Release:· I hereby declare catfish 0.3 to be stable, as no bugs have been reported for a while.· I removed the settings dialog for now, as I would be rewriting this for 0.4 anyway.· A small bug I fixed has to do with the filetype buttons to always be icons with no labels, otherwise the left pane is way too big to be usable.· Please be patient while waiting for 0.4 with many improvements. I hope to be able to update in sane intervals again once the rewrite is in a good shape.
