otl Description

otl converts a text file written in a user-specified syntax to a second text file with user-specified markup. otl converts a text file written in a user-specified syntax to a second text file with user-specified markup. The default conversion is from a simple, readable text file syntax designed for writing an outline to XHTML.otl also can be used for many types of conversion since the syntax of the source file and of the output can both be customized by the user. otl is more than a search/replace front-end: it can process complex structures such as ordered and unordered lists (nested or unnested), add custom "headers" and "footers" to documents, etc. The package also includes tag-remove, a script for stripping XML tags from documents. What's New in This Release: · Replacement patterns (for otlsub) can now include the match registers ($1, $2, $3, ...) · Changed ~/.otlsub to set of otlsub files in ~/.otl so that multiple otlsub-foo files are available for selection (docbook, html, tex, or one specified on command line) · Glossary support (docbook and html) · Improved table parsing (spaces or tabs can be used to separate column data). Empty columns with a place-holder (the '|' character). · Bugfixes with image markup parsing · Bugfixes with list processing · Better image docbook markup · - support for docbook figures with figure: · - support for xref for figure (use > notation without a caption: i.e., >)
