Itsagif - Convert PICT files into GIF files Itsagif is a simple program for converting Macintosh PICT or Windows BMP files (or clipboard images) into GIF files. The program dispels the myth that GIF files are limited to 256 colours: itsagif can produce GIF files with more than 256 colours. Itsagif is currently unique in that it is the only program that allows you to easily create GIF images with more than 256 colours. The produced files follow the GIF89A specification.As a result, the files can be viewed, inline, using Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Firefox, Camino, Safari, and Opera without any add-ons, plug-ins, or helper applications.Using itsagif, you can produce interlaced, transparent GIF files with as many colours as you wish. This allows you to place images on the web that include transparent areas, smooth gradiations of colour, or sharp colour edges.
