A simple recipe manager written in Java RecipeJar is a free and open source recipe manager written in the Java programming language. Simple enough for Grandma, but flexible enough for the food loving computer geek in the family. You can just leave your recipes organized alphabetically, or if you feel like getting fancy, you can add Tags/Labels/Categories (e.g.;whatever you want to call them). You can even search by Ingredient, if that strikes your fancy.Recipes are stored as simple HTML files, you can read them using your favorite browser or even publish the entire folder as a standalone website. Truly Geeky users can write their own editing commands (useful for inserting HTML formatting), write templates for the index and recipe files, create alternate style sheets, and even teach RecipeJar to recognize new unitsNOTE: RecipeJar is licensed and distributed under the terms of the Artistic License/GPL.
