Universal Edit Button Description
Firefox add-on that indicates if a webpage is editable or not The Universal Edit Button is a green pencil icon wiki.png in the address bar that indicates a web page is editable. It is similar to the orange "broadcast" RSS icon ExampleRSS.png that indicates there is an RSS feed available. Using this extension, an icon will a appear in the address bar (similar to the RSS auto-discovery button) when you visit a wiki website that allows you to edit the page. This currently works on Wikipedia, AboutUs.com, wikiHow and soon most of the major wikis.The Universal Edit Button extension creates the Auto-discovery button for wiki websites. The Universal Edit Button add-on is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
