Active Paint Application Description

Active Paint Application is a tiny program that comes bundled with several image editing tools. Pictures can be saved to the BMP format. Since installation is not required, you can store the app on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file. Thus, no new entries are added to the Windows registry and no leftover files can be found after program removal. The interface of the application is familiar and easy to navigate through. So, you can use some basic functions for drawing lines, rectangles, rounded rectangles, circles, text and images. It is possible to select the line width and object line color, enable transparency, configure font settings and to change the background color, as well as to bring objects to the front or send them to the back. Additionally, you can display a grid and grid lines, in order to improve your drawing accuracy. Active Paint Application also allows you to save the project for further processing, to the ActivePaintObject file format (APO). The painting program supports some keyboard shortcuts, has a good response time and puts little strain on the computer's resources, since it uses a very low amount of system memory and CPU. Active Paint Application has not caused us any problems throughout our testing; the app did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. On the downside, Active Paint Application does not offer a wide range of customization options or support for additional file types (e.g. JPG, PNG, TIF, GIF, TGA). But we must take into account the fact that the app has not been updated for a long time. This piece of software should be mainly used by rookies.
