This is a tool that captures shots up to 30 frames per second from any video device including USB and Analog webcams, Television cards, Camcorders and Network Internet webcams. The video captured is converted to bandwidth saving, quality preserving MPEG-4 formats and can stream the data to anywhere over the Internet. It could send JPEG images to your FTP server too. All you need to watch the stream broadcast is the Internet browser on your machine. No other plug-in or software pieces need to be downloaded. The application lets you broadcast simultaneous recording and broadcasting from limitless number of cams. There are several examples of such webcams all over the net broadcasting something or the other to those who are interested. This set up could equally easily be used for surveillance purposes. On detection of motion this application can be set up to trigger an alarm, email captured picture triggered by the event, start a streaming broadcast of the secured area, etc. You can arrange to have the video recordings completely scrambled and not viewable without a valid password. Additional features that are useful include picture overlays and time captions, change video dimension / quality, and Pan/Tilt/Zoom control, etc. In the stealth mode the program is completely invisible on the machine it is running. If set up as a Windows service, the program will start up even if no user is logged in. This could be a nice tool to play with when you want to broadcast or want a security zone to be monitored.
