Apex Apple TV Video Converter Description

Apex Apple TV Video Converter is a simple video converter. It allows you to convert video files for playback on the AppleTV. The application has three conversion profiles for the AppleTV and they vary only in the video bitrate that they use. They are called Apple TV Normal, Mini and Excellent. All three profiles use a resolution of 640x480. You can choose to customize the conversion process, but there isn't an option to choose any resolution over 640x480, which I think is very weak. Graphically, the application sports a very old-looking interface. This one is better than the free video converter by Apex, which is a mess. At least, with this one, you can easily choose your conversion profiles. There is a video player that allows you to play your videos before converting them. In my testing, I opened a DivX filed with this converter and converted it to the MPEG-4 Excellent profile. The file was converted almost instantaneously and it played well on iTunes and VLC. The quality was almost identical to the original file. All in all, Apex Apple TV Video Converter doesn't let you convert files to any resolution higher than 640x480, but it works well.
