Celtx runs on both 32- and 64-bit systems, and it’s available in many languages. In my opinion, this small program is very well built. It doesn't come with high system requirements and allows you to easily start writing. The program can be used by both amateurs and professional writers. Its graphical user-interface impresses through the great number of tools that it has to offer. When you first run the program, you are offered the opportunity to select the project template that you desire (film, audio-visual, theater, audio play, comic book, storyboard, novel, etc.) or to open one of the included sample projects. I opened the script for “Wonderful Wizard of OZ” and I was impressed to see the great amount of information regarding each character, author, and screenplay that it offered. Celtx also includes a Toolbox which can be populated with add-ons that can be downloaded from the developer’s website. Even if you’re not a professional writer, you can give Celtx a try.
