Directory Checker Description

Directory Checker is a utility that enables you to compare the contents of two Directories side by side down to the File Version Number level. It is designed for people involved in Software Development, QA, Customer Support, Network Administrators and anyone else who needs to keep primary and backup or network directories in sync. Compared / Displayed fields include Long Filename, Version/Document Revision Nbr, Last Modified Date/Time, and Size, and handles files > 2 gig OK in Vers 3.30. Vers 3.30 has a new DocRevNbr option, that when turned off, will result in Significantly Improved Performance. Directory Checker also includes rash File Attributes columns, and Dir1_Atrib and Dir2_Attrib Menu options for modifying File Attributes. It also includes a Resizable Display Files Grid and Directory Listings Combo Box, Double Click to Open a File, and in Vers 3.30, Open With if no File Association is found, and an Enhanced Right Mouse Display/Mark Menu when over the Display Files Grid. The Display Files Grid also has Resizable and Scrollable data columns, and Browse Buttons just above it that allow users to easily select New Directories to compare. You can select different Filters which limit the Display, such as Files which exist in one directory only, or Files existing in both directories with different Version Numbers, Sizes, or Date/Times. Displayed Files can be easily selected either individually or in groups and then Copied or Deleted. Users can also Edit or Rename individual Marked Files. The Current Display can be Printed, or Saved to a Text File for future reference. You can also customize Directory Checker to include a list of frequently used compare directories.
