Forum Additive Description

Forum Additive is a Mozilla Firefox add-on designed in order to offer you a simple and automated mode of monitoring forum threads. With it you are able to receive notifications every time a specific post is updated with a new reply. An add-on that needs to be referred to in the Past TenseIt’s best to start off with Forum Additive by saying that its development ended with Firefox 2.0 compatibility. Since then, a new official version for the add-on has yet to be released. When it was still under active development it offered support for boards such as vBulletin, SMF, phpBB e phpBB XS mod, Forum Free, punBB and Invision Board. With that in mind and knowing that you can still download and install a fully functional Firefox 2.0 browser, it seems that not everything is lost when it comes to Forum Additive. Intuitive features and easy to useIf by any chance you gather the patience and why not, the courage to install a ‘retro’ version of Firefox in order to use Forum Additive, then you’ll encounter a well designed and structured piece of software. Once installed it makes its way into the ‘Add-ons’ section of the browser from where you can access all its settings and it also creates a new entry in the context menu. The latter allows you to monitor a thread with a simple click, manage all marked topics and set the check interval. When Forum Additive identifies a new reply, it automatically displays an on-screen notification which contains the thread name, author, the number of visits and answers, as well as a part of the posted text. A good idea with great executionForum Additive was a practical solution if you were a frequent forum user but unfortunately, since things have changed so much in the last few years, chances are that it will not work at all.
