This extremely simple tool comes with a tiny little interface that takes up very little of your system’s resources, as it executes the corresponding extraction tool directly in a DOS window. Its simplicity of use is probably one of its main assets, though some users may miss a certain level of flexibility. The program will automatically detect the extraction tool needed to decompress the selected archive, and will use the CMD DOS command to extract all the files stored in the container. Thus, selecting which files to decompress and which to leave in the archive is not an option with GVD File Extractor. You may be asked by DOS what to do in case the program finds a duplicate file in the target folder, thus reaching the highest level of interaction between you and the extraction tool. The extraction process is as fast as can be, and the program will discreetly close itself once the decompressing task has finished. It is dead simple, but it is free.
