MaxDEA Description

MaxDEA is an easy-to-use but most powerful software for Data Envelopment Analysis, with the following attractive features: 1) Most comprehensive DEA models. MaxDEA contains over 30,000 DEA models including most complicated Network DEA models, and the number is still increasing. 2) No limitations on the number of DMUs. With MaxDEA you can develop large DEA models with a great number of DMUs, such as 10,000 units. 3) Easy to use. MaxDEA is a green software. MaxDEA needn't installation. MaxDEA is very easy to backup. The program and the database for the DEA model are integrated into one access database file (.mdb), which is very convenient to backup. The database and all options for the DEA model are saved permanently in the file, which means that after closing and ReOpen the file, the database and model specifications are still there unchanged. MaxDEA uses standard database format, which means that you needn't to indicate the property of inputs/outputs with field names. Multiple models can be run at the same time. The only file needed for running the program is MaxDEA.mdb. You can rename or copy the mdb file as you want. Each copy of the mdb file contains one DEA model with all its data and specifications saved in the file. You can open and run multiple mdb files simultaneously. MaxDEA 6.0 Beta5 l Direction Vector Scanning Model l EBM Model (Tone & Tsutsui, 2010) l Period weights in Dynamic Model (Tone & Tsutsui 2010) l More methods to compute TFP change including Sequential Malmquist (Tulkens & Vanden 1995; Shestalova 2003) l Parallel Network Model (Kao 2009) l Context-dependent Model (Zhu 2009 ) l Scale Elasticity (Degree of Scale Economy, Cooper et al 2007 ) l RDM (Portelal et al 2004) l Modified SBM (Sharp et al 2007) l Restricted Projection l Geometric-Mean or Arithmetic-Mean added in Results of Malmquist Models l Combinations of Cluster model (4 types) and Malmquist model (4 types)
