MediaGet Description

The number of media files of all kinds made available on the Web grows by the minute. The problem is, most of the time, how and where to find them. MediaGet offers you its torrent-based download technology, an extensive database, and a search engine for you to locate and grab your favorite movies, series, cartoons, and games in a snap. The program comes in a straightforward interface with a young a fresh design. Its tabs and icons will guide you through the download process in an intuitive way, making its Help button completely unnecessary. The program is basically a torrent-based download manager with a database of torrent files (or links to them) pointing to the latest movie, series, cartoon, and game available as a torrent file on the Web. Note that it works only with torrent files and magnet links in a P2P environment, so do not try to use it to look for your files on Vimeo or any other well-known video site. Another thing the program won’t do for you, apparently, is to look for music or any other audio files – it seems to be completely devoted to movies, TV series, cartoons, and games. However, nothing prevents you from loading those other .torrent files you got from music or e-book sites and download anything you need using MediaGet as your default torrent downloader. Once you’ve located your favorite film or series and launch the download process, MediaGet works as a standard torrent-based downloader, except for the fact that you won’t be allowed to choose which files to download when the target torrent contains more than one (i.e., all the chapters of a given season). The program will manage your download and upload speeds following your preferred settings, as well as what happens when your downloads have finished. You can find details about the files you’re downloading, the trackers you’re connected to, the seeders and leechers, the estimated remaining time, etc. But the great thing about MediaGet is that you don’t have to wait until the entire torrent has downloaded to start enjoying your film or series. The program will focus on a file (usually following a sequential order) and will grab enough of it to start playing it back for you right away – knowing your average download speed, the program will manage your playback so that you can watch your video file seamlessly while the other chapters or the rest of the movie are being downloaded. It comes with its own media player, which will pop up as soon as you start downloading a new file. With MediaGet, grabbing media files from the Web is easier than ever. It is free, it has its own database, search engine, and media player, it is a full-fledged torrent manager, and you won’t have to wait until the download has finished to start watching your videos. I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t at least give it a try. Francisco Martínez Editor rating:
