PCB Wizard Standard Editions Description

PCB Wizard Standard Editions is a comprehensive software solution for those who want to design single-sided and double-sided printed circuit boards. The application comes with all the basic tools you need to draw the schematic, place components and render a prototype of the final product. You even get to generate a bill of materials that lets you know exactly what you need to manufacture the piece. Visually, the application seems a bit rough around the edges but the interface is more than comprehensive and very well structured. It provides you with the basic tools that you need to draw diagrams using circuit symbol components and wires. To speed up the process of design and ease your work, you are also provided with a large library of components that you can directly insert into your project, instead of having to draw them. You get to choose from power supplies, connectors, input components, resistors, capacitors, discrete semiconductors and integrated circuits. PCB Wizard Standard Editions also comes with a large number of viewing styles that give you all the needed perspectives of the project. You can view your project in normal mode, Real World, Artwork, Unpopulated, Solder Side Artwork, Component Side Artwork, Silk Screen Artwork, Classic and Prototype. In all of these modes the components can be selected and their properties edited. Once a board is technically complete, you can enhance the project by adding text (also being able to spell check it), tables, symbols, clip art pictures and even headers and footers. Though light on your hard drive and system resources, the application delivers a large number of features. With PCB Wizard Standard Editions you get ANSI and DIN symbols, automatic wiring and PCB routing. In closing, PCB Wizard Standard Editions isn’t much of a looker but giving it a few runs and creating a few boards you get to see how much it can do for you.
