The Photosynth Point Cloud Exporter application was developed to be a small tool that will allow you to convert the point cloud of a synth from Microsoft's Photosynth service to formats that are compatible with many 3D graphics applications. Instructions - Exporting the point cloud of a synth that is available on the photosynth.net website: Start PPCE Go to your synth on the website and copy the address from your browser, e.g. http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=58b232f9-3e1b-44e4-943d-b133e0583c6a Paste this address in the URL text box of PPCE Choose one of the output formats and click "Export" - Exporting the point cloud of a synth without the need to upload it first: Start Photosynth and create your synth When the synther is finished with analysing your photos and is busy uploading files (shown by the message "Uploading file.."), start PPCE Select the "From file" method and browse to the collection.synth.bin file that should be located in the Photosynth data folder (%tmp%\Photosynther). Choose one of the output formats and click "Export"
