PointMan Reporter Description

The Pointman Reporter provides a select group of reports from the Pointman database. It assists the user of the PointMan (Infor ERP for Extended Systems) program by providing these reports as an extension to the existing menus already in Pointman. These Pointman Reporter reports basically provide a sequel query for the qualifying records in the reporting subject, and then allows the user to view those records in: · Excel · A Text File · A Grid Control · Element Table · INsight OLAP Reporting System (purchased separately) Optional constraints and sort orders are available for all reports. The constraints and sort order options are applied to the sequel query before all the above viewing options are created. In the Element Table, though, an additional internal sort order can be specified which overrides the sort order specifed in the sequel query. This sort order is specified individually by each user and stored in the Pointman database. Additionally the Pointman Reporter reports allow the user to select the fields and the sort order of those fields to be downloaded to the output option selected. The fields and order of those fields, for each report, for each user, is stored in the Pointman database. When the report is again selected by the user, the program defaults to the fields and field order last selected for that report and user. An additional option exists when using the Element Table that allows the user to download only the records selected in the Element Table to one of the above output options. This option (to download only the Element Table selected records), can be toggled on and off thru the available check box. Give PointMan Reporter a try to see what it's all about!
