RubyRadioRip Description

EditBy Just a simple Frontend for Streamripper, written in Ruby. Usage: On the left is the list of Stations and under it the recording jobs. On the right, some buttons. "Path" is where the recorded Files will end up. This is set for each job seperately, so you can have several Jobs with diffrent Directories. "File" Is the name of the resulting file, in music mode this is not used. "Duration" is how long Streamripper will run, in Minutes. if set to Zero, runns, until Streamripper crashes, as its manpage puts it. :) The Timer: Set some time in the future, at which a Record of the selected station will be started, for a nummer of minutes given in Duration. If you set a time before "Now" one day will be added. example: You want to record something at 04:00 until 05:30, and now it is 21:34, you just set time to 04:00 and duration to 90. When stopping a job, there is a short delay before "Job Finished" is shown in the joblist. This is because Streamripper needs some time to finish its work, but the gui will show when it is actually finished. MusicMode explained: Usually we put the whole record in one file with the name entered in the filename box. In MusicMode Streamripper tries to Detect silence between tracks and puts each song in a seperate file, in a directory with a name automagickly set by the stream source. So, use normal mode when you want a single file record or the streamsource does not supply Meta-Data (Artist/Trackname). Use MusicMode to record Music content into seperate files automagickly named by Streamripper. Rubyforge Project PaGE for bugreports, feature requests, etc...
