SDcorrect Description

SDcorrect is written to work with Panasonic SDR-S26 produced mpeg files (with .MOD extension). This software might function with other Panasonic SD camcorders, but it is unlikely that it will work with other brands. The fix sets the 16:9 header flag for widescreen clips as well as correcting a detail to prevent thin black vertical padding lines in both 4:3 and 16:9 clips. These thin (8 pixels wide) lines are hardly noticeable and only appear in more advanced video editing software packages such as MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, so you may not have even noticed them. SDcorrect also streamlines workflow by capturing video off your camcorder, renaming and organising files by date and time. Settings are saved so each capture session is done with minimum fuss. SDcorrect is written to deal with Panasonic SDR-S26 produced .MOD files, but these may be the same as other Panasonic camcorders, so the software may work for other models too. Main features: Copy movie files from one place to another (normally from camcorder/sdcard to your hard drive). Configurably changes the file extension name (eg from MOD to mpg) Reads the file creation time-and-date and gives the new file a name related to the date-and-time Optionally puts files into subdirectories according to their date-stamp Changes the sequence_display_extension display dimensions within the mpg file to 704x576
