The TreeCel calculator was inspired by the frustration of using the common spreadsheet applications in the following areas: ￭ they show the results of an expression but hide the expression itself ￭ not being able to use simple contructs like IF and FOR ￭ lack of any any structured data - arrays etc. ￭ no tree structures ￭ no step by step debugging So, TreeCel is a sort of calculator and a sort of spreadsheet which tries to address the shortcomings listed above.
