The Magic Folder Description
The Magic Folder is a lightweight gadget that provides you with shortcuts to user-defined folders. It can be seamlessly installed and configured, even by less experienced users. The interface of the tool is based on a very small frame which you can move to any position on the screen with the help of the mouse cursor. So, all you have to do is select a preset location from the drop-down list, in order for The Magic Folder to instantly reveal it. This preference can be altered by accessing the 'Options' screen: simply pick a folder name (e.g. Internet Favorites, Document Files, Picture Files, Video Files) and specify the new directory by using the folder view. In addition, you can customize the appearance of The Magic Folder by selecting the folder style, color and size (docked and undocked), as well as turn off file move confirmations, the 'watched' folder, aside from moving files to folders based on their file extensions. The small program is not a concern for the computer's resources, as it runs on a very small amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive to commands and didn't cause us any issues during our testing, such as making Windows freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, you do not have the possibility or renaming the preset folder names; The Magic Folder has not been updated for a very long time.
