AudioScope Description

AudioScope is a free command-line software, a Bash script that can be used as an audio oscilloscope utility for UNIX-like operating systems, including Linux and Mac OS X. AudioScope has been engineered in such a way that it can capture sounds using /dev/dsp, SoX and DEMO devices. Furthermore, it can be used to easily and quickly calibrate vertical axis, thanks to the included circuit diagrams. This text-mode script is primarily targeted at kids who want to learn to captures sounds. At the moment, AudioScope has been tested on Debian 6.0.x, PCLinuxOS 2009, and Mac OS X 10.7.5.
